Our Story

How it all began

In 1978, Nick and Konstantina Belegris bought Calderfoods.

It was a humble business, named after the freeway that the delivery trucks travelled along in to the country.

The Belegris' saw Calderfoods as a great opportunity for building an enduring family business.

With hard work and determination, Calderfoods gradually grew both in size and recognition as a trusted provider of high quality products.

In 1994 their son, Jim Belegris, joined the team.

Two years later he became Managing Director with a vision to lead Calderfoods in to an exciting new chapter.

This transition saw the business undergo many positive changes.

In 2011 Calderfoods acquired Hume Frozen Foods, expanding its reach across Northern Victoria.

In 2014 Calderfoods relocated to a larger, purpose built warehouse and processing facility in Craigieburn.

It also became a selected member of Country Wide - one of Australia’s largest buying groups.

Calderfoods has grown to supply over 1,300 products to more than 200 customers throughout Victoria and it is growing steadily.

Calderfoods will continue to change and evolve but its ambition will always remain the same.

To deliver high quality products.

To provide exceptional service.

And to focus on the business' number one priority - its customers.
